Better geometry

I learnt a far better way of doing the escape pods, mainly building one, and then cloning that using empties. So I've been going round aligning empties with my existing escape pods and replacing them with the much higher quality version below, looks far better imo.

    1. Are you instancing them using the empties as local origins? I have a project that could benefit from what you're doing here. What's the method you're using?

    2. Hi, So I already have the old escape pod geometry in that I can use as a guide, so it works as follows;

      -Select top face(s) of old pod
      -Shift+7 to alight viewport to selected geometry
      -Snap 3D cursor to selected (this puts the cursor in the middle of the top face)
      -Add an empty at the 3D cursor position, aligned to view
      -Set empty to be a Instance/Collection, with my new escape pod geometry being in the selected collection.

      Hope that makes sense.
